From Postal History to Digital Innovation
PennyBlackCats draws inspiration from the iconic Penny Black—the world's first adhesive postage stamp—renowned for its depiction of Queen Victoria. Instead of the Queen, our NFTs feature a charming feline, offering a unique twist on historical imagery.
Just as the Penny Black revolutionized postal communication in 1840, PennyBlackCats aims to introduce innovative concepts to the NFT space, combining historical references with modern blockchain technology.
Decreasing Factory System
Our NFTs draw different colors and different letter combinations in art. Each color and letter combination acts as a "factor" to determine the mining rate that your NFT gives airdrop points and perks to join our channels.

The Creation Journey
The concept of PennyBlackCats was conceived in March 2022 by the YLabs Club team. By May 2022, the complete collection of 150 unique designs was created in just three weeks, with each pixel art cat meticulously handcrafted to incorporate the decreasing factor system, variations, colors, and combinations.
The collection was minted on the Polygon blockchain in July 2022, chosen for its low transaction fees and environmental sustainability. Since then, the project has continued to evolve, with development of the token economy and game elements progressing steadily.
